The cost of rebuilding, particularly when it comes to infrastructure like bridges, has soared in recent years. In the past, steel I-beams, structural fasteners, and lumber were more affordable, making construction and repair more manageable. Today, the price of steel and treated lumber has increased dramatically, making it difficult for residents to rebuild essential structures without significant financial strain.
